This tea, we call it “Rose Taetea” or “Purple Taetea”. As we know, Rose Taetea is the first Pu’er Tea produced and labeled under Taetea’s logo and trademark by Menghai tea factory. In 2001 and 2003, Menghai Tea Factory also produced tea with a purple package and a Taetea logo in the center. However, since 1996 Purple Taetea is the first tea using this kind of packaging, and the purple color discolor into rose color after year. That is the reason why we love to call 1996 Purple Taetea as “Rose Taetea”, and also to distinguish from the Purple Taetea of other years. It has been 20 years when the classic reappears, the Rose Taetea of 1601 batch. One of the classic and premium ripe tea of Taetea. 这款茶，大家称之为“玫瑰大益”或者“紫大益”，据说是勐海茶厂第一款使用“大益”商标出品的普洱饼茶。
在之后的2001年、2003年，勐海茶厂均出品过以紫色外包装，大益商标居中的茶品。但由于1996年紫大益是第一款采用这样包装的茶品，紫色一褪色就变成了玫瑰色，因此坊间也喜欢将1996年紫大益称之为“玫瑰大益”，方便与之后的其他年份的紫大益进行区分。迄今为止，已有二十年之久了。现在，大益经典重现，1601批次玫瑰大益出世，是大益最高端的熟茶之一，其采用大树原料发酵，选用最高端品质拼配而成。
玫瑰大益首款采用大树原料发酵，入口甜润甘醇，口感醇厚顺滑，持久性好。笋壳包装，整件纸箱装，有利于茶品的存放和后期陈化。
